the best camera.

the best camera is the one that’s with you. [ chase jarvis ]

for myself (and many others) this truth has, as of late, shown itself in the form of an iphone camera. sure, its capabilities are limited, and on a wedding day nothing can come between me & my 5dmkii… but any other day of the week, no matter the moment, my iphone is always there. i’ve been ridiculously inspired by jeremy edwards’ “from the pocket” project, and ever since i started following his tumblr, i’ve been trying to snap a little more of daily life with my good ole iphone. to just find beauty and wonder no matter where i go. that is, after all, why i fell in love with photography — the way it challenged me to see the world differently, to find the divine in the daily.

here’s a selection of some favorites from the past few months… apologies to my twitter followers who have probably seen a few of these already :) i’m a big fan of bestcam and lo-mob, but all of these were processed using shakeit.

let us come alive to the splendor that is all around us, and see the beauty in ordinary things. [ thomas merton ]
