the world is full of wonder. there is beauty everywhere, if you just open your eyes to it. everyone has a story that deserves to be told. love is meant to be shared, celebrated. these are the reasons why i do what i do.
my name is jill and i think i was born to meet people in their joy – to celebrate – to create art – to love big – to tell a better story – to soak up every ounce of goodness this life has to offer. i’m a photographer based in grand rapids, michigan. my focus is on documentary weddings but i love to explore & grow in any area of photography that i can.
when i was 20 years old, i spent five months living in a charming little town on the eastern coast of spain. my time there was beautiful and transformative, and ingrained in me a deep love for travel, culture, and adventure (oh and sangria, too). but it did more than that: it was the beginning of a photographic journey, a discovery of my own voice, and a desire to not just look at the world around me, but to really, truly see it.
this blog is just a place for me to post my recent photographic pursuits, both personal and professional. hopefully it will give you an idea of who i am, what i love, and what i’ve been up to.
